Union City, GA — Authorities are actively searching for a suspect involved in a double shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon at an apartment complex in Union City.
The incident took place in Building 4 of the complex located at 4217 Flat Shoals Road. Surveillance footage captured the suspect fleeing the scene on foot, with the firearm still visible in his hand.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered one victim inside an apartment and another victim outside the building. Both individuals had sustained gunshot wounds and were immediately transported to local hospitals. Their conditions have not yet been released.
The Union City Police Department is urging the public to assist in identifying the suspect. If you recognize the individual seen fleeing or have any information about the shooting, you are encouraged to come forward.
