Clarkstown Police Arrest Two in Nanuet Sex Trafficking Operation, Rescue Multiple Children

NANUET, NY — The Clarkstown Police Department’s Street Crime Unit has arrested two individuals following a successful undercover operation targeting a suspected prostitution and human trafficking ring at a residence on 16 Smith Road in Nanuet. The operation also led to the rescue of multiple children, now in the care of appropriate authorities.

Prompted by community tips and growing concerns about suspicious activity at the residence, investigators launched a detailed inquiry using surveillance tactics and online platforms commonly associated with illicit trafficking. Undercover officers were able to infiltrate the operation and gather sufficient evidence to proceed with arrests.

As a result, two suspects were taken into custody and charged with a range of serious offenses, including sex trafficking, promoting prostitution, and endangering the welfare of children.

Custody Status: Remanded to Rockland County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash, $200,000 bond, or $300,000 partially secured bond. Scheduled to appear in Clarkstown Justice Court on June 11, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.

Custody Status: Remanded to Rockland County Jail under the same bond conditions. Court appearance also set for June 11, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
Authorities confirmed that several children were found inside the home during the operation. They were immediately transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation. Child Protective Services has since been engaged in the ongoing investigation to ensure the safety and welfare of the children involved.

The Clarkstown Police Department emphasized that the operation reflects its firm commitment to protecting vulnerable populations and holding accountable those who exploit others through trafficking and related crimes.
